Honest advice without pushing tests. I was told a simple glasses change is enough for now. Clinic can get busy in the evening.

Blogs

This blog explores medicine and medical science in all its forms — from ophthalmology and retinal care to medical procedures, surgical decision-making, and how things actually work in clinical practice. A core goal is to bridge the gap between complex retinal science and everyday patient understanding, while occasionally pausing to answer the quiet question every reader has: why does the body do that?

As an ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon, I combine high-volume clinical experience with peer-reviewed research to deliver precise diagnosis and better patient care. Trained at premier institutes—including a vitreoretina fellowship (FMRF) at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai—I focus on complex retinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, retinal detachment, uveitis, and pediatric ROP. My publications translate advanced diagnostics (OCT, OCTA, fundus imaging) and evidence-based protocols into everyday practice, guiding timely decisions on intravitreal injections, laser therapy, and vitreoretinal surgery.
